Cannot Win for Winning I am sure it would surprise not a one of you who reads this blog to know that I am not what you would call a Clarence Thomas fan. His decisions yesterday in the "war on terror" only confirmed my feelings. But there are times when most men can come together unite, and that is the sacred bond between a man and his pornography. If one thinks that the NRA is America's strongest gun lobby, well you must be either a eunuch or a nun. I believe that much of the reason that Second Amendment absolutists are so successful is not that banning an assault weapon will lead to banning a rifle...no its that the slippery slope will ultimately go so far as to deny a man the right to handle his own weapon in the privacy of the home. How could we deny Justice Souter the only "fun" the man ever will have? And on the preciousness of this final right, Clarence, myself, and most all men are standing up for what is good, true, and ... ok, pure might be a bit much. Unfortunately though, how much does it suck to be Clarence Thomas when Scalia abandons you and you end up the deciding vote in allowing Americans to have less fear about getting some internet porn without stumbling into the realm of being deemed a pedophile? Probably quite a bit.
