Smart Political Move leads to Kerry Victory Yesterday there was hubbub about Kerry not crossing a striking police department employee picket line out of principal. Boston's mayor criticized Kerry and a cameo by Mitt Romney did the same. At the time, the police union said while they appreciated the gesture they still planned on picketing the Democratic National Convention should their strike not be resolved by that time, as seems likely. Well, on reflection they appreciate the gesture even more. They will now NOT picket the Democratic National Convention in part because of Kerry's refusal.
