You know things are Bad...
According to today's Boston Herald, South Korea is balking at placing their 3,600 troops in the area requested by the United States because it is too dangerous.
It seems to me it is a bit of a problem, when South Korea, technically still at war, will not send troops to a country we occupy because it isn't safe enough.
This is especially bad timing considering the post below this one, where Don "Egad, shown up by Tom Friedman" Rumsfeld boasted about comparing Iraq to South Korea.
South Korea has obviously been doing some comparing their own selves and decided, "why go to northern Iraq when we can be safer someplace else, like near North Korea?"
Oh, they are still willing to deploy as soon as the U.S. gives them someplace safe to place their troops.
Maybe in Kuwait?
It's enough to make you want to impeach somebody.
Really!!
