Early on there is little doubt as to who the winner in deceit, deception and outright demagougery is going to be. The Bush Administration has NOTHING to run on but Fear (obligatory geek reference to Monty Python's "Spanish Inquisition" sketch refrained from even before requested -- I'm looking out for YOU, Mr and Ms. lonely blog reader!). Bush stated recently, "we see now that the terrorist are fighting desperately" -- well that's what his speech said -- how that was actually pronounced is a different matter entirely. Fighting Desperately is at least ONE thing they have in common.
