Watchin' the TeeVee Army Times, the trade paper of the military is out tomorrow (myself I prefer "Modern Grocer" for my trade magazines...well that and Adult Video News). In discussing the advanced edition Bob Scheffer on Face the Nation just said the editorial in the trade is calling for Rummy's and Myers' heads and really taking it to them, combine that with the Washington Post story on the brass getting upset makes it even stronger. Biden is naturally being critical of the civilian leadership of the Pentagon, and even more damning Chuck Hegel, an independent minded Republican is being just as critical of the civilian leadership. There is obviously an insurgency of the brass in the Pentagon. I do believe the press is not only awake, they have taken their SUV's to Starbucks and downed a quart of espresso.
