A website for Move America Forward has launched a campaign to deter theater owners from showing "Fahrenheit 9-11". Apparently this is part of a coordinated effort to prevent the film from being shown generally but especially in hotly contested battleground states before the Novemeber election. The website includes a list of theaters currently committed to showing the film, theaters that are considering showing the film, and other information about how to try to prevent the film from being shown. The website includes strong protestations to call and demand that the film be dropped immediately and not to advertise that they are showing the film. Beacause of this campaign, some theater owners are reporting intimidation, receiving personal threats directed at them and their families, and even death threats. WHO PAYS THE BILLS FOR "MOVEAMERICAFORWARD.ORG?" This web site, "www.moveamericaforward.org", is actually an alias for "www.moveamericaforward.com". A DNS check reveals that "www.moveamericaforward.com" is being run by a Public Relations firm out of San Francisco. The important question is who is paying for this attempt to stiffle freedom of speech?
