Governor Rowland finally Resigns. One less Republican crook in office as he will resign tonight. As part of his departure speech, I predict the following: -- He'll remember his "old man", that others would have called him some sort of a little man, a common man. -- That his mother was a saint, but no one will write any books about her. -- he'll remind his supporters that "others may hate you, but those who hate you don't win unless you hate them, and then you destroy yourself." Somehow people will not double over in laughter at the irony of that statement. And then he will climb into a helicopter let out a final pathetic wave, make a double victory sign and go off to work on being a "respected statesmen".
